Lancaster Bridge Club will be here in Los Alcazares from the 15th to 23rd of May 2023 they will be staying and playing bridge each day at the Costa Narejos Hotel where we used to play.

We are all invited to join them at any of their games. 

These games vary in time, some evening and some afternoon games. If you are interested in playing contact me Ron and I can confirm the time of play and make sure their is a place reserved for you.

Lancaster Bridge Club versus Los Alcazares Bridge Club annual challenge match on Saturday 5th October 2019

It was again a very close game between our six teams and there six teams with the scores as follows.

End of round one we were plus 6 imps; round two plus 14 imps; round three plus 45 imps; round four plus 38 imps; round five plus 51 imps; then our worse round but finishing with an over-all score of plus 26 imps.

It was a somewhat difficult evening with getting the room temperature to suit all, the noise level to suit plus one or two difficult directing decisions.

The conclusion was it was a very enjoyable evening finishing up at a local bar for drinks and tapas.

I would like to thank all the players who supported this event with a particular mention to Sue Rumford for coming in at the last moment to ensure that Lancaster could field the full six teams. This meant that all our members who volunteered to play were given a game. Acknowledgement also to Liz Dean for all the hard work she does almost throughout the year to ensure all the Lancaster players not only play bridge but also have a good holiday. We would like to thank Lancaster for the donation they also made to our club funds. We look forward to their return next year.
